Dave, I used to have Tamron 90/2.5 the earlier version with 49 mm filter 
threads. I had it with KA adaptall adapter. It was splendid lens. There 
was just one very small problem with it. Sometimes it would produce a 
flare/glare circle straight in the middle of the frame. That was with 
*istD at least. I had to sell it in order to get 31 Limited lens. 
However it was really good optic.

But if you have FA 100/2.8 why bother? I had a chance to use FA 100/2.8 
twice visiting Jostein - truly marvelous piece of gear. Unless you want 
to loose AF and arrive to slightly smaller size/weight - I see no reason.
