That's been my life since my daughter was born. 19 months and around 3000 images later, I'm getting better at portrait photos and I have a handful of shots that I think transcend the usual family photos.
Personal pleasure shooting is hard to balance into the mix, but it cam be done. My most productive sessions since my daughter was born have been family walk-around trips where I got a bunch of "grab shots."
