Well, I had had the DA 50-200 ordered at Adorama, but it was debatable when
it would come. It showed in stock when I actually ordered it, but it got out
of stock right after I ordered it.

Frankly, I blame the list. ;-) We had just discussed the 50-200. I had asked
about it and got replies and about a week later someone else did the same.
Anyway, someone rushed off and ordered a lot of 50-200s.

Then I complained about the situation in a thread about something else.

So Stan Halpin offered to sell me his off list.

I now have a DA 50-200 in great condition when it still seems to be back
ordered everywhere.

It's small, smaller than the DA 16-45, which I also have. I suppose because
it covers a longer focal length and is actually not quite as good (yes, yes,
everyone on list told me it was very good for a consumer zoom).

It looks like a great walking around lens and I am eager to try it.

But, uh, I got to do taxes, so it's got to wait, darn.

I now have four lenses, two DA and two manual, for my DS.

So, thanks, Stan. Boy, this list comes in very handy sometimes.

In other words, I blame the list for it being back ordered, but I also
grateful to the list for finally delivering one into my hands. Good list, bad
list.

The enablement thing is a whole separate issue. Good or bad, I am still not
sure.

Marnie aka Doe ;-)
