A package arrived yesterday containing a Spotmatic Kit that I won on Ebay. One of the items was a 135 f2.5 SMC Takumar. There were 2 with that designation. The earliest was a 5 element in 4 groups and the other a 6 by 6. The 6 by 6 is the same as the famous K135 2.5. As luck would have it, I got the 6 by 6! I have the K and was able to make a comparison by counting reflections. The lens is mint along with the Super Takumar 200 f4, SMC 55 f1.8, Metz 30BCT4 ( with 3 auto settings plus manual ) and Spotmatic II body.
The battery door was "welded" closed and I was able to soak it in WD40 and finally removed the old battery. I installed a new one and the meter worked. I checked out all the speed setting and the ASA resistor is perfect. The only blemish on the camera in on the mirror otherwise it looks new. Now I have 3 bodies, but most important I have a lens selection that can do justice to this "Classic" camera. Bob Rapp - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
