I understand where you're coming from.  You also had and built a collection 
of Pentax gear.

When relatively well-heeled neophytes go out looking for a DSLR and start 
comparing brands, they may not reach the same conclusions, and that's 
probably where Pentax is hurting most.

It may only be perception, but a competitive high-end model is worth 
something.
