version opens jpegs and tiffs,  and it has the BW conversion functions
that were introduced with  Lightroom.

It might be quicker and easier than messing around with layers  and masks.

Good idea, but I have CS  (1) and have Lightroom on order (it hasn't arrived 
yet) and not quite willing to  upgrade to 3 yet. But I like that a built-in 
conversion is there. I will look  for it. Actually, my class show will probably 
be AFTER I get Lightroom, I may  get it next week, so I could wait to work on 
this until then.
