Jack, On my computer (PC, XP Pro) I downloaded the file (Save, not Run) to the desktop. Then I double click the new icon on the desktop, Run, and it extracts to the two files. Then I plug the cardreader in with the formatted sd card in place. On my computer a window will pop up with the info on that device and its directory name, ie, :J , in my case. I close that window, go to My Computer, and click/drag the file FWDC162B to the "J" drive icon. A window will show the transfer process and close. Then remove the cardreader/card as per correct procedure, remove the card and insert in the camera making sure the power is off. Press the menu button and turn on the power at the same time. The process will start.
