Well, like I said in my original mail, I am definitely not only buying them
as a tool. I have a 135/2.5 at the moment, which was dirt-cheap, and
produces fantastic results.

And yeah, I am definitely into gorgeous looking glass :-)

The A*85/1.4 is still probably one of the best fast 85mm lenses made,
$1000 is a lot but it is a pretty amazing lens. $2000 for the
A*135/1.8 seems over the top, the lens is fast but if you are buying
it for performance rather than collectors cache it's probably not
money well spent. Wide open it's not all that special so paying for
the fast aperture is kind of self defeating, though it's a gorgeous
piece of glass to look at if you're into that ;-)
