This is the better of the two -- I dont know what version of PS you have, but there is an "easy button" for helping with this in elements 5 that I use -- it's in the Enhancements pulldown menu for lighting and says SHADOWS AND HIGHLIGHTS - there is a sliding scale for adjustment... oddly, it always opens up with a certain percentage done and I generally have to pull back the correction but I have no idea why it starts out with the correction it does... I like this a lot better than your color photo of the jazz singer which lacks emotion that the title implies. (hehe, I suppose I should make that comment in reponse to the other photo) xo, ann > >http://bp0.blogger.com/_EaTEtfR4WJw/RsBXBrMIuRI/AAAAAAAAAkY/dj8ARi2eVvE/s1600-h/aug_13+005.jpg > >For comparison, here's the original: > >http://tinyurl.com/22mplu > >http://bp2.blogger.com/_EaTEtfR4WJw/RrS6XLMIt4I/AAAAAAAAAhQ/hV-8FRtnsFc/s1600-h/sk8r.jpg > >As you see, I also tried a different crop. > >Any thoughts?
