Fantastic! It has  a wonderful, soaring complexity and a painterly  
quality to it that are  all at once focused by the line between the  
hand in the corner and the  eyes of the character on the main float.  
You've caught the simple  essence and painted it with all the  
context ... A great  photo!

I bet this one could win a prize, Marnie.  :-)

Huh. You're kidding. LOL. I like it,  but... I know, you respond to people 
shots. :-) 

Guess cropping out the  white sky at the top helped (though there was not a 
lot more to the photo).  Thanks, Godfrey. Guess it's a tad better than I 
thought. I did enjoy shooting  the parade and would like to try one again. The 
people watching are as much a  part of it as the people parading.
