Nope, don't like the crop - it loses a lot for me - the essence of the porch was all the stuff on it. The crop takes all that away and focuses on a specific area that wasn't where I really focused before. It is kind of like comparing a picture of a bird to a picture of a bird head. If you only want me to see the bird head, then the crop is fine, but if you want me to see the bird, then show me.
I thought the porch had character, just bad light. The crop no longer looks like a porch, so I see steps and a flag - not the character I saw before.
