Yah, I have a hard disk recorder / DVD with this. I tried it and it works okay. We have a 26 inch LCD which seems small, but this in a quaint English cottage, so actually a good size. Controls are dorky though. Better to hook up Mac through one of the various interfaces (zillions of them) and run a 'slide' show through that.
