I usually buy from New York, either B&H (www.bhphotovideo.com) or Adorama (www.adorama.com). I have to pay about $6 ups charges, but you can save far more than that if buying a reasonable amount (I usually get at least 10 rolls at a time, usually 20 and stash it in the fridge). For me it's mainly cost and selection that make me mail order. My local pro camera shop has a good selection too, (but not as good as those two). The trouble is they charge up to double the price. I usually buy around here where I live. The most important thing is which film to use. Currently I am going back and forth between Kodak TMAX 100 and Ilford FP4 125. Cannot decide which one to stick to. I don't really have that much experience with either since I am just getting into photography. So I will ask you guys, which of the two do you prefer and why? Also I might be able to get a scanner so I need you opinion on which brand and model is best for around $500. Sorry my budget is very low but those of you with kids will understand. I do know that getting a film scanner will be very expensive so I am resorting to just the plain scanner. Thanks for the advice. They are always appreciated. Francis M.
