Cotty, if you do get to go to Bath, you've gotta have tea in the Pump Room!  
It's famously old-fashioned in everything, 
including the service, and you can get a bottle of the spa water there too.  
Not cheap though....
My brother actually lives in Bath, so it was a no-brainer to stay there on 
holiday a couple of years ago. He's not in 
one of the famous crescents, but has terrific views across the city anyway!
