Thanks for all the replies. It was Eneloop that I couldn't remember. We've been using Energizer batteries and chargers for a few years. They're all weaker than they were when new. Some won't take a charge at all anymore. It's a PITA trying to keep track of the batteries that are good. With bike lights, cameras, flashes, keyboards and mice, it's pretty critical around here (just like everywhere else, I assume) to have decent batteries on hand.
I'll try the Eneloop batteries.
