same here. Two sections (32 students total) in the film photography and darkroom course. Always a waiting list. Mostly K1000s although they can bring and "old" film SLR from home.

On my way to work I walk past a college. Normally it's surrounded by students engaged in extra-curricular chemistry, but for a change yesterday they all seemed to be wandering around photographing litter-bins, paving stones and passing office workers. And they were all, without exception, using K1000s.
