Having used a number of on-camera flashes on the Pentax digital SLRs, I can say
unequivocally that the latest Pentax flashes -- the AT 540 FGZ and the AT 360
FGZ are the best way to go. You'll get wireless capability, trailing curtain
synch, high speed synch and accurate exposures.

On the other hand, if you want to set up a home studio, go with monolights like
the Alien Bees or the SP Excaliburs. Don't try to use on-camera flashes for
studio lighting. With the studio lights, you'll have to calculate exposures
manually, but with digital that's a no-brainer.
