No, I run the R800 directly off my main computer and an Epson 880 as a network printer off a Linksys wired print server. That way nobody uses the R800 but me but anyone can use the 880. The only glitch I've encountered is *sometimes* if you send a job to the print server and forget to turn the 880 on it will hang up the server. Then you have to power it down for about 15 seconds to dump the data, then re-send the print job after you've powered up the server and printer.
