You know, Dave... If you had tried the hacked firmware two months ago, you would either have a properly-focusing K10D or you would have =known= that it has a mirror box problem, and gotten it fixed long since. Of course, you would have missed all the excitement of dealing with Pentax Canada all this time...
I think it is great that someone has figured out how to adjust the focus without messing around with the firmware. It took me about an hour and a half to improve the performance of my K10D hugely, but maybe this would have been faster and easier.
