I suspect that it was a manufactured controversy, and that Leibowitz
was the unlucky patsy. Cyrus's parents are no doubt aware that her
career as a teenybopper star has hit its best-before date and that she
had to update her reputation to something more interesting to teens
than pre-teens in order to keep her in the spotlight (and the income).
Disney on the other hand doesn't want to lose a proven moneymaker
until her stock actually tanks.
