A link to my blog this time, hope you don't mind. Yesterday I felt more comfortable with the 600mm, but it takes some time to get used to. I also tried out using a Wimberley Sidekick on a ReallyRightStuff ballhead instead of the much larger Wimberley Head. When trying out the difference at home, the dedicated Head seemed less prone to vibration than did the Sidekick, but I don't think it mattered much in the afternoon sunlight yesterday.
