thanks for showing this! no need to remove it sooner than you wish. i'v still got a lot -- ok, I'll be honest, all :-) to learn regarding digital darkrooming. only darkroom skills I vaguely recall are non-digital, but what you described sounds a bit like the trick of giving some parts more/less light while exposing the paper. right now I shouldn't invest serious amounts of time in learning new skills (other things need finishing first - or am I just afraid of the cold water? :-) hopefully I'll have more time after the summer.
