Thanks Bob! There were 3 gulls hanging out together, interacting all the time. I think it was a male/female couple with an "apprentice" male tagging along. Occasionally, two of the gulls would start fighting (I wasn't able to discern the female from the other two by appearance), but it never took long before one of them stopped it by displaying submission. I hadn't really learned to see the signals of the beginning antagonism, however, so I missed all the ops for a good fighting shot. But that's definately something I'll be looking to learn about next time.
