On the image, a quick dab with a clone tool in any image editing program
will get rid of it.

On the camera (I have an *ist DS too), I use a 3 step process to handle
dust:

1.  A squeeze-type blower; if that doesn't work....

2.  A good quality artists nylon brush lightly brushed across the
sensor; if that doesn't work.....

3.  A wet swab method using Pec pads and Eclipse liquid  (I've only
needed to do this 3 or 4 times since I've had the DS).  

Cloning out the odd dust spot in software is easier.
