On the image, a quick dab with a clone tool in any image editing program will get rid of it. On the camera (I have an *ist DS too), I use a 3 step process to handle dust: 1. A squeeze-type blower; if that doesn't work.... 2. A good quality artists nylon brush lightly brushed across the sensor; if that doesn't work..... 3. A wet swab method using Pec pads and Eclipse liquid (I've only needed to do this 3 or 4 times since I've had the DS). Cloning out the odd dust spot in software is easier. See: http://www.cleaningdigitalcameras.com/ for good information on sensor cleaning.
