Yes, I fully agree.  Unfortunately, I was unable/unwilling to schedule  
our hikes for early morning or evening.  Travel with a companion  
(especially one that you sleep beside) requires compromise. ;)

I'll consider that for the future!  I"m not much of a closeup/macro  
person, and so I don't have those tricks in my bag.
