To which I might add my two cents...

The baseplate of my K100, K10, and K20 all state that the camera was  
"Assembled in the Philippines".  Says nothing about Japan, anywhere.

My 18-250 mm is labeled "Made in Japan".  But the 12-24 mm, and the  
18-55 mm both read "Assembled in Vietnam".
