Better positioned than the K200D, still has some distinct weaknesses in the buffer. Pentax's inability to do post-processing chain buffering is once again producing a camera with a shockingly small buffer. That said, it's better than the Rebel XS and should be priced a lot more competitively than the K200D was/is.
Most interestingly, it's the the same height as and noticably less wide than an E-420. The grip is deeper but a E-420 with the 25mm pancake should be about the same depth overall as a K-m with the DA 40 as the smaller DA lens offsets the mount register difference. The K-M is smaller in both major dimensions than the D60 and Rebel XS. This is a VERY compact body and offering in-body IS in the smallest package yet. Frankly, Pentax now makes the smallest DSLR (I don't consider depth to matter in this as it's almost always irrelevant once the lens is mounted). UI seems very Rebel-influenced. Could be a good thing, as it's not as busy as the Rebels though. -Adam On Mon, Sep 22, 2008 at 3:20 AM, Roman Melihhov <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > http://www.pentax.jp/english/news/2008/200819_s.html > ^^^ I think some may even call it "toy camera" by one of its capture > modes but here are spec. for ones interested in product... > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > PDML@pdml.net > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow > the directions. > -- M.
