That thing sticking up out of the water almost exactly dead center all of a sudden becomes what my eye wants to focus on with this framing. I think it would be stronger if that were cloned out.

Beyond that, yes, I like it more. I'm not sure about the perfect half top/half bottom water line, it seems a bit too symmetrical, but that's something you could diddle with.
