...Richard Bryant's Photographic Celebration of a City is an exhibition on at the moment at Somerset House in London. It is stunning. Shot with some kind of large format digital camera, enormous, huge C-type digital prints on perspex of different views of London. Go and see it.
He is an architectural photographer and was commissioned to take these photos. http://www.somersethouse.org.uk//visual_arts/786.asp Also now on in London is the World Press Photo exhibition, at the Royal Festival Hall. Strange journey home from town today. When I got on the tube there was some sort of shoot going on. Two models dressed as brides and 2 as grooms. Three photographers shooting. All the people were Italian and were having a great time. The photographers were using a Nikon D3, a Canon something or other and a Pentax. I suspect they were all amateurs - none of them was bouncing their flash. The Pentax guy was the most amateurish of all, using his pop-up flash. Sorry, guys.
