FourThirds sensor size is 13x17.3, so considered by the diagonal to 35mm film cameras, the focal length equivalence is a "2x crop factor".

However, the FourThirds format is 3:4 proportion rather than 2:3 so that equivalence is inexact. I find a 20mm focal length on FourThirds produces exactly the same effect, visually, as fitting a 35mm lens on the Leica M4-P and making an 11x14 print, cropping in from the long edge to fit the print format.

A 35-50mm lens on FourThirds is an excellent portrait tele range, effectively, where 25mm is normal, 20mm is wide, and ultrawide is 7 to 18mm.

Thanks. This is a 2x crop factor, correct?
