I know my spam filter seems to eat PDML posts at random.  However, it
does seem to be fond of those by Bruce Dayton (seriously).

I suspect that not everyone's seeing every message.  There are often
references to older messages that I haven't seen.  Some threads seem
to
arrive in a large block when they're already well under way. 

An occasional check of the archives is helpful, but it doesn't prove
that
all the list members are actually getting your messages.  Sigh.
