The green is moss/lichen.  I suspect this is not the original doorway.  For 
some reason it still appeals to me.  

What purpose the building serves I cannot deduce--I haven't found the way 
around to the back.  If it is residential, it must be rather dim inside.

I agree that it will look better in another 15 years.  I'll make a note on my 
"to do" list...
