Total HDD drive failures should NOT be catastrophic today because you really need to assume they are going to fail and make sure you are backing up everything you dont want to lose. I have been doing that since 1990 and have not lost anything I really wanted-needed.
Are you aware that all of your posts now appear to have something like 90 carriage returns/line feeds/blank lines appended to the end of them?
