LOL! The first year I went camping, I learnt that it isn't a repeatable experience in the UK in a tent. Of course, such things are organised during public holidays, which by definition means the weather will be foul. At the end of that weekend, we all looked like we'd spent a weekend in the trenches. The second year, I turned up in a Land-Rover and camped in that. The weather was again foul and yet for me, a dry, warm and enjoyable weekend and no need to carry loads of stuff. The third and subsequent years would easily have been mistaken for four wheel drive meetings.
