Yeah, the course was around the perimeter of a hockey rink. Non-competing racers prepared bikes in the infield while awaiting their heats: http://knarfdummyblog.blogspot.com/2009/02/icycle-09-infield.html I spent much of the time there, although I did get a few shots from the outside - not many though, because if a bike went down and came at you with those very sharp tires, the results could be nasty!
