I agree with Paul. Perspective control with software is a valuable
tool, particularly with tall structures that will usually have a
"falling backwards" appearance when photographed from ground level.
Whether it's appropriate or desirable depends on the image and the
effect the photographer wants to convey.
With your tower image it may not work well because of the limited
space
above the top of the tower.
Since the sky is pretty much monotone, it would be easy to clone in a
bit more if necessary to correct the perspective of the tower.
BTW, I like the photo. It's nicely composed, but some alignment work
would certainly enhance it.

Thanks to all the folks who took time to comment on this last PESO of
mine. I do appreciate the critiques.
One item I'd like to touch on is the concept of software perspective
control. I'd been thinking about this recently before I'd posted my
PESO and then Brian brought it up in his critique of my image.
I'm just amazed at how fast technology changes. The last time I was
an
active member of this list (granted that was 8 years ago) the only
way
to achieve perspective control was with a view camera or shift lens.
Now you can get something of the same effect using photoshop.
I don't currently have any software with the ability to "correct"
perspective, but an older laptop of mine had Elements 2 which did. I
played around with it a bit but never could really get my heart into
it.
I think it mainly has to do with all those years at the newspaper.
Any
alteration of a photograph like that just makes me cringe.
I'm curious to hear more of you all's opinions on the process?

Nice composition but the tower gets a bit lost in the background
sky.
Also, I'd try a bit of perspective correction to make the verticals
vertical and the horizontals, er...horizontal. It may not be an
improvement but worth investigating.
