The LX3's RAW format is not proprietary, it's supported by Adobe at least. However Panasonic is using had-coded lens corrections to compensate for distortion on the lens which some take offense to. The LX3 has a much better lens and sensor than the G10. The G10 has a better control layout. -- M.
