That's what i do mostly, Jpeg's.

Do i just set the camera to the CWB menu, then shoot something and
have the flash go off. This is the part that confuses.

You need to be in the location you're going to shoot before setting a CWB. To set a CWB with flash, you'd have to expose with flash.

It's on page 124 of the K10D manual.
