Yeah, I agree. It's  supposed to be 800 wide, max 660 tall, but I still 
haven't figured out all the  details of Lightroom's gallery set up. And, 
frankly, 
it uses quite a bit of disk  space overhead for me to use it often on ftp site. 
I tried, I wasn't impressed,  and I will probably go back to Elements gallery 
creator. (Unless I can figure  out how to simplify the LR one, with less 
javascript and all the other  unnecessary items.)
