Unfortunately, it's enough to be member of the PDML if the infected party is using a POP3/IMAP/Exchange client to read the List, rather than using webmail. The mail address of a poster is stored in the header of all mails and can be scavenged from the inbox and/or "sent elements" by the 'bot.
