Love the shapes, detailing and grimy feel of these batteries, which were
current circa the early 1900s to run cable car lights and such.

Well, no one does better mono renderings than you. That is truely a gorgeous
B&W.
I'm a little disturbed by the lack of squareness, it looks like a large
format image where you forgot to shift the lens to keep things lined up.
But that is a fairly minor nit pick.
