Good mail-order stores: B&H, Adorama, Camera World of Oregon,
Charlotte Camera, KEH. There are others, but those I listed will all
give good service and good prices for sure.

Avoid like the plague: anyone who demands your credit card number
before you even place the order, or tells you there is an extra charge
for the neck strap for the PZ1p (the neck strap is sealed in the box -
there is no extra charge for it).or claims you must buy a Tiffen UV
filter to make the camera work.

Extended Warranty: good only if the camera fails in the time period
covered by it. I know of two weak points on the PZ1p: the spring on
the RTF flash, and the edge of the bottom plate at the battery cover.
The bottom plate is a two to twenty-dollar home fix that Granny could
do easily. The RTF is better left to a tech. The other problems that
may occur would probably be accident damage from a fall or contact
with water, which may or may not be covered under extended warranty.

Give the guy at Ritz a chance to match, say, the Adorama price. It he
won't, you have to decide if you want to donate $100 to Ritz. Or you
could go ahead and buy mail order, save the $100, then spend the
savings at Ritz on film or processing or a bag.

Or you could buy a used one from Ebay or list member - I saw Doug
offering one on PDML recently for a bargain basement price, which I
would have snapped up if I needed another PZ1p.
