Absent any evidence to the contrary I'd be inclined to side with the celebrity in most cases. I've seen some of the more restrained "celebrity photographers" at work (the toughest photographic ticket at Long Beach was never the main event - it was the pro/celebrity race), and that was selected guys on their best behaviour. We've all seen TV coverage of the scrums outside any courtroom, not to mention Princess Diana. About ten years ago, when photographing a car race, I recognised the young woman next to me in the pits as Ashley Judd (at the time Dario Franchitti's girlfriend, later to become his wife). It was educational to see her reaction to a camera approaching her. Eventually she got the idea that I was primarily there to photograph Dario, and relaxed. I even got a couple of nice shots of her looking up at the monitors. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
