I dropped my camera last night (about 2 ft onto a rather unyielding rug) while putting it away. It landed lens-first. The hood "gave its all", but the lens doesn't focus anymore--the focus ring doesn't move. The camera seems to be working.
Aauugh! The lens will be off to Pentax UK on Tuesday (tomorrow is a bank holiday), but I won't have it back for our trip to Belgium next weekend. Fortunately I have my FA 24-90 along.
