I have a really old pre A series Tokina 80-200/2.8 lens. It's fabulously
sharp, even wide open it's decent, it doesn't flare like crazy (good hood
though), and I have yet to see any purple fringing.
However, I have trouble tracking and keeping fast moving subjects such as my
dogs in focus with it. I suspect a 60-250 is going to find its way into my
kit.
It's not that my 80-200 isn't a good imager, it's that I want what the
60-250 offers, and if can I justify the price of admission.
