That's the problem, isn't it?  I have yet to use a "high quality" EVF
that's better than most 25 year old pentaprisms.  Canon's Digital
Rebel seems to have successfully convinced all the other manufacturers
that they can sell a complete piece of shit to anyone with six hundred
dollars.  Unfortunately, this means that those of us who can't, or
don't want to, buy the top-of-the-line are going to be stuck with a
progressively bigger pile of crap that tries, and fails, to emulate
what the big boys are using.

"Keep it simple, stupid" is falling on deaf ears these days.
