Hey all. Did I miss anything good over the last week and a half? Who
won the PDML printer challenge?

I only took one camera and one lens (along with a helicoid extension
tube) on my trip: my Pentax 67 and the 105mm f2.4. I shot twenty rolls
of film in North Carolina in the moments between family visits (or
sometimes during them ;) ), and another 15 or so in New York.

The first thing I said when we showed up in NY to our hosts was "Please
do not let me go anywhere near B&H." We all agreed that we would not go
out of our way to look for it and that if anyone saw it but I didn't
notice it, they wouldn't tell me. We were trying to have an inexpensive
holiday, after all.

Well, Vanessa and I went up the Empire State Building, and while I was
busy burning up film of the New York skyline, Vanessa started giggling.
I asked he what was so funny, but she only answered that she was not
allowed to tell me. Then she giggled some more, and then finally
flipped over our Empire State Building elevator tickets to reveal an ad
that read "B&H Photo/Video -- 3 blocks from the Empire State Building!
Show this coupon to receive a free gift!"

The free gift was a small backpack. I now own the new SMCP-67 75mm f2.8.

Bloody fate.
