Dave,
I like the backyard Columbine a lot.  It's almost Daytonesque.  Minor nit,
could you get the other blossom out from behind the edge of the bottom pedal?
It is an emerging bud, but still a distraction.
The unknown wildflower (looks familiar, but I can't name it) needs softer light.
It's beautiful and as a catch along the side of the road, well done.
But have you thought about an umbrella or something to modify the light?
Did you photograph it while driving the school bus?  Even more difficult!
