Sorry to read that! 1) happens, so don't give up anything.
2) worst things can happen, I'd rather be unemployed and healthy to employed and counting days or weeks.
3) since you no longer have to worry about losing the old, familiar job, take a hard look at other opportunities. You may end up in a better situation faster than you expect.
Friend, I'm not saying it's easy. Nor simple. But I really believe you're getting over it, soon.
