I do fine organizing my files with bridge and keyword folders. Don't know if I could do better with Lightroom, but I'm okay with my current system. However, I do want to give lightroom a try. It might prove to be a better solution for batch processing.
In regard to CS4, I really like it. Never used two or three, I went straight from CS to CS4. But I love the clone tool that shows placement, and I'm pleased with the save for web function that allows retention of exif data. I also like the numerous photo filter options and the curves functions in the ACR converter. But I don't know how many of those things are available in CS3.
